During his PhD in the Stevens lab at The Scripps Research Institute he solved several G Protein-Coupled Receptor (GPCR) crystal structures, including that of the first serotonin receptor, 5-HT2B. In 2014 he joined the Roth lab at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where he set up a GPCR crystallography program and trained several Postdocs, PhD students, and undergraduates that co-authored top-tier publications.
